Family and Matrimonial

Our Head of Department is a Member of "Resolution" which is a membership organisation promoting

a non-confrontational approach to family problems and whose members specialise in family law.

At a time when advice is needed urgently and problems need to be dealt with sympathetically, are

in a position to resolve any difficulties.

It is an unfortunate fact of life that not all marriages are successful. When a relationship breaks

down it is not unusual for one or both parties to seek to dissolve the marriage or to obtain a formal

decree of judicial separation.

If there are children of the family under 18 the Court must be satisfied that proper arrangements are

being made for their welfare.

A Fair division of the family assets, including the matrimonial home, business where relevant and

pensions must be worked out. In the majority of cases this is achieved by negotiation between solicitors

in the application of the principles of matrimonial law to the special circumstances of each individual case.

We offer a fixed fee first consultation for family matters and aim to resolve disputes with the minimum of

conflict and delay in order to protect our clients’ interests, and keep costs to a minimum.

We can advise you in respect of:

Divorce and separation, including Civil Partnerships

Children including financial matters, contact and residence

Financial settlements including maintenance, property, businesses and pensions

Domestic violence and injunctions

Pre-nuptial and Co-habitation agreements
